You can go years without thinking about something, and then you hear a song or catch a familiar smell and suddenly you’re sixteen again, or back in a house you haven’t seen in twenty years, or thinking about someone you thought you’d forgotten.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat’s really why I wanted to make a candle for this book. Smell is so tied to memory, sometimes more than we realize. I loved the idea of giving\u003cspan class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eSudden Seances\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ea scent that could become part of someone else’s experience of reading it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI’ve been a fan of Evil Queen for years, so getting to create \u003cstrong\u003eVEILWORK\u003c\/strong\u003e with them was a dream. We spent more than six months figuring out what belonged in the world of this book, and ended up with a scent that's been haunting the hallways of my house ever since (in the best way).\u003cspan class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI hope you light it while you read poetry, while you cook dinner, while you write, while you have friends over, while you’re doing absolutely nothing special.
